Summer Program
UPDATE: July 8, 2011
The OFS Summer Programs are off to a great start. Last Wednesday, the 3-6 year olds had a fun and informative journey to the National Aquarium in Washington, DC; while Tuesday and Thursday were spent at the Bethesda Pool. The 2 year old class trip to the "Be With Me Play Museum" was a big success. The children have been painting, creating, playing, laughing, and making wonderful new friends during these two weeks. This Friday we will wrap up the first session of the 2-6 year old camp with a moon bounce and family day!
Harrington's Sports and Adventure Camp has been a huge success as well. Last Friday, the camper's wrapped up the first session - having had two weeks filled with sports, adventure and a day at the water park! A new troop is in this week to learn new soccer skills, kayak, raft, hike and zip line. The Oneness-Family School is happy to announce that we will be offering a summer program again this year for 2 year old children as well 3-5 year old children. We will be holding three, two-week sessions from June 27 - August 5 (6/27 - 7/8*, 7/11 - 7/22, 7/25 - 8/5). The theme for this year's Summer Program will be "Greener Earth = Peaceful Planet."
We will feature a curriculum based around environmental ideals and the dream of international peace. The 2011 Summer Program will feature weekly visits to the local pool and Norwood Park for the 3-5 year old children. The 2 year old children will frequently visit the Children's Play Museum - located across the street from the OFS Campus. Announcing Sports and Adventure Camp for Grades 4-8!
For grades 4 - 8, we are announcing the inaugural "Harrington's Sports and Adventure Camp with OFS". Paul Harrington is the current P.E. teacher at 
Oneness and has designed this camp so that it will take advantage of the many beautiful state and national parks in the area for daily trips to hike, rock climb, play soccer/capture the flag, and go rafting on the river. Paul's camps will be holding three, two-week sessions from June 20 - July 29 (6/20 - 7/1, 7/5 - 7/15*, 7/18 - 7/29). For any of these OFS camps, parents can sign their children up for the whole summer, or for each of the individual two-week sessions. Aftercare and Beforecare is available with advanced notice!
* There is no camp on Monday July 4th, in honor of Independence Day. Prices for this session will be prorated.
